Air Conditioning in One Room

I dealt with yesterdays 105 degree weather by hiding in my bedroom with the air conditioning on. It's the only room in my apartment with a/c.

A movie, some snacks that didn't involve cooking and plenty of water had me feeling alright. Two days in a row of it would be a bit much, so I think today I will have to be brave and weed my garden, way overdo, regardless of the heat.

If I start feeling sorry for myself, I can just be glad I'm not up on a roof.

Food is Good!

Last weekend I stumbled across the Buddhist Food Bazarre at the Buddhist Temple on Riverside Blvd. What a great event. Fantastic food, taiko drumming, arts and crafts. I had some sushi and tempura and spent too much money on bonzai trees that I hope I can keep alive. Next time I'll try to let you know in advance about this fun time.

Heat Wave! What Heat Wave?

Here we sit, under the clouds with a cool wind blowing, long sleeve shirts and even sweaters being pulled from the back of the closet, and the rest of the country is baking in the worst heat wave so far this summer. Make the most of it Sacramento, the summer sun will notice us breathin' easy over hear and then, watch out!
