Cleaning The Gutters

Baby Blues is a great strip, though reading this makes a roofer's eyes pop out of their head. Kids on Roof!!! Terrible Idea!!! But we should add, keeping the gutters clean is a great idea, though it can usually be done from a ladder without going up and breaking tile. Wow, do I know how to kill a joke or what. Zimmerman Field

16 year old Alex Coy is the son of our office manager, Lily and the sister of our I.T. person Katrina. Here he is pitchin' up a storm at what we've come to know as Zimmerman Field.

We were very proud of Alex who didn't allow a single run for the four innings that he was on the mound.

I'm pretty sure that it was the Zimmerman Roofing banner behind him that inspired his performance.

Three Day Weekend Coming Up

This upcoming Monday we observe Memorial Day. That means the Jazz Festival is here, BBQ will be breaking out all over and I aim to put in some time on the bike trail. Wild Turkey in our yard

Yes Sir, we started Good Friday with wild turkey in our yard. No, we didn't crack the lid on our grandfather's whiskey. We had a real live wild turkey wandering around in our yard amidst the tile and forklifts. We managed to snap a few photos as he headed to the most remote corner of the yard and then he hopped the fence and continued on his way.
Our office is next to a freeway, a lightrail track and the busy Stockton Blvd. so this was an unexpected surprise.

President's Day

Okay, so President's Day is not our most exciting holiday. If it does stir up your interest in our two most loved Presidents I have a few books to recommend. 1776 by David McCullough does a beautiful job of detailing Washington's most amazing 12 months getting started in what would seem to be an un-winnable war. Of course, you can't stop at the the end of 1776. This book ended up drawing me into Liberty, and excellent college textbook on the American Revolution.

A Great '08

Looks like we're starting the year with a bang as multiple storms converge on Sacramento like we were hosting some kind of storm convention.
